First attempt at using Dodging and Burning...didnt go too well....contrast is off although i dont have the heart to go to 'Contrast' in Elements...
The level of detail in the wood's grain proved hell trying to get it not to look as if the wood has visible brush strokes on it. In addition the level of detail in the lock and handle somehow made the contrast look off on the other piece of wood... The lightest part at the top left just totally burned out... Nevermind, enjoyed it nevertheless and now i know the basics of the technique,  |
